Mission Statement

Mission statement
The Monroe County Medical Reserve Corps (MCMRC) is a group of volunteers from health and other fields that serve and support the Monroe County community during public health emergencies and at other times of community need.

Description

To recruit volunteers, from health professions and lay persons, to respond to local public health emergencies and other community needs.

To retain and sustain a team of volunteers that are prepared to provide their expertise and skill during a public health emergency or other community need.

To train volunteers in the procedures, skills, and concepts of preparedness that are necessary to protect the public health of the community in an emergency.

To educate the community about current personal, family, and community preparedness concepts and practices.

To maintain a Medical Reserve Corps program that is current and viable as well as scalable and relevant to the public health preparedness needs of the community.
