Description

Childhood experiences, both positive and negative, have a tremendous impact on future violence victimization and perpetration, and lifelong health and opportunity. As such, early experiences are an important public health issue. Much of the foundational research in this area has been referred to as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
One is the fatherless child. For example. These kids are the most vulnerable to living in poverty. 4 times the rate of a child with married parents. We need to educate these young girls and boys about the seriousness of having unprotected sex. And the outcome of how it changes ones life. The peer pressure is immense. And education is the key and knowledge is power. This is were "Youth To Young Adult" comes in., We will work to help change the viscous cycle. We will focus on Foster Children and Run Away kids. In California alone there are 60,000 foster youth desperately needing our services. Services we will provide are as follows: Counseling, Education, Health Care Services, Employment Services, Job Training, Fitness Programs, Forum, Shelter, Community Invovlement, Tutors, College Prep courses, Parent Training. Speakers will come to speak and give advice, inspiration, and hope. We will have a space for the kids to hang out so not on the streets.
