Mission Statement

Habitat for Humanity (HFH) is an ecumenical housing ministry that seeks to put belief into action by working in partnership with our community to provide simple, affordable homes for qualified low-income families. HFH builds a spirit of community and cooperation among the volunteers, supporters, and beneficiaries of the organization.

Description

Throughout Washington County, we build homes in accordance with the our mission. Our Construction manager works with volunteers to build these homes.

We also have a Habitat ReStore. The ReStore is a discount home improvement center that sells donated home improvement merchandise at reduced prices to the general public. 100% of the profits support Habitat for Humanity of Washington county. We have a small staff and rely on volunteers for ReStore support.

The volunteers and interns on staff are always happy to see a new face. I worked in the ReStore and met several individuals in my age group (18-25). I also knew that my time was going to a valuable cause! I live near a beautiful home that was built through this organization. Signing up is easily done through the website, and volunteer hours are logged for you.
