Mission Statement
Columbia College, a women's college related to the United Methodist Church, educates students in the liberal arts tradition. The College provides educational opportunities that develop student's capacity for critical thought and expression, lifelong learning, acceptance of personal responsibility, and commitment to service and social justice. In furtherance of its mission, the College is responsive to the needs of students, the communities to which it belongs, and the greater global society.
Description
Columbia College has had a formal mentoring program that pairs its Women’s College students with Midlands area professional women for many years. In 2013, the college made this program (CLIMB) an integral part of each student’s experience. Mentors make up the third part of our student’s "Personal Board of Advisors", s haring the goals of academic and professional success with their faculty advisor and career coach.
