Mission Statement

The Malta House of Care Mobile Clinic provides free primary health care, without discrimination, to the uninsured of greater Hartford. CT including required pharmaceutical and testing needs of the patients who receive the free care at the mobile clinic. The MHC Mobile Clinic enables volunteer medical providers to support underserved communities; bringing care to underserved populations; facilitating patient care management; improving medical interpretation; addressing health literacy; and aiding in navigation of the health care system resulting in a continuing positive impact on health services in Greater Hartford, CT.

Description

The Malta House of Care, Inc. is an innovative and unique community asset--a mobile health clinic for the delivery of completely free, primary health care services to the uninsured of the Greater Hartford Connecticut area. We believe that everyone should be entitled to primary health care without discrimination. In the absence of government action to provide the means for such care, in 2006, a group of concerned community leaders established and operate the Malta House of Care. The Malta House of Care, Inc. (MHC) and the Malta House of Care Foundation (MHCF) are 501 (c) (3) organizations with the MHC providing the medical services and the MHCF providing funding to support the services of the MHC Clinic. The primary benefits of our medical services are: detection and treatmentof medical problems, educationof patients , andprevention through proper medical care and education . Our patients are healthier, more educated about their medical needs, more responsible for their on-going healthcare, and grateful that the Malta House of Care is here for them.
