Mission Statement

The mission of the Global Lives Project is to collaboratively build a video library of human life experience that reshapes how we as both producers and viewers conceive of cultures, nations and people outside of our own communities.

Description

The Global Lives Project is an international collaboration of volunteer filmmakers, designers, architects, translators, activists and institutions from around the globe. In 2010, we completed our first ten video shoots capturing twenty-four hours in the life of individuals around the world, including youth in Lebanon, Malawi, and Kazakhstan. We hope that the Global Lives Project provokes questions about how we conceive of and engage in the everyday lives of others, encouraging people to step out of their world.
