Mission Statement

Established in 1983, Search One Rescue Team is available to assist any official governmental agency with the location of lost or missing persons. This includes missing children, elderly walk-a-ways, suicidal persons, human remains, disaster victims, and many other types of searches. After more than 25 years of service and hundreds of search missions, Search One Rescue Team is recognized nationally as a leader in the Search and Rescue Community

Description

We utilize trained K9s to assist local law enforcement agencies to search for missing persons. We are looking for volunteers who enjoy dogs and the outdoors to assist us in training the dogs by hiding for them.

Fantastic organization of all dedicated volunteers who assist official agencies to find lost or missing persons with K9 Teams. Depending on your interests, one gets to work with volunteer k9 teams (dogs/ppl), teams and be lateral or learn things from mapping, communications, k9 training, etc. The start out is as a volunteer victim when one goes to training and helps set up lost person scenarios in the woods or urban settings. I really enjoy volunteering with this team!
