Mission Statement

The Inspire Dialogue Foundation, a charity registered in the UK, was founded to promote human values in an interdependent world. We create open platforms that use the power of dialogue as a catalyst for progress, connection and insight. We ask: what is a meaningful life and how do we aspire toward one? What is a wider vision for human life and our place on the planet that supports our well being, now and in the future? In a world threatened by fear we believe dialogue is essential for the the evolution of ideas that respect differences and acknowledge our common humanity.

Description

Our Focus:

* Dialogue − creating events and forums to bring people together to learn in dialogue. The foundation will sponsor a major dialogue event each year hosted by Lord Rowan Williams. The next open dialogue − Understanding Strangers − will take place in Cambridge on 17 September 2016.

* Education & Ethics − engaging with the ethical challenges of our time by developing educational resources that transcend doctrine and find common ground among faiths, cultures and philosophical traditions

* Science & Spirituality − Facilitating a sense of the oneness of humanity that all can identify with regardless of belief or culture.

The Inspire Dialogue Foundation’s inaugural event in Sept 2015, "Dialogue with the Dalai Lama" hosted by Rowan Williams, brought attendees together for two days of open dialogue. Topics ranged across resources, health, technology, the environment, education, conflict resolution and freedom. The overarching theme was Universal Responsibility.
