Mission Statement

Palmetto Animal League has been the voice for animals in need for more than 30 years and continues to make a difference in the Low country by actively promoting the humane treatment of animals and ending pet overpopulation through programs such as low-cost spay/neuter, rescue and education. With the help of generous foster families and volunteers, PAL has been able to find loving homes and spay/neuter approximately 5,000 animals since 2002. PAL's goal is to build a community where NO animal is left behind.

Description

We serve the animal population of Beaufort County, except Hilton Head Island, through foster homes and other temporary facilities such as PetSmart and local boarding kennels. We operate the Animal Thrift House resale shop on Hwy 46 in Bluffton, and are working towards opening an Adoption Center in mid-2009.
