BHRA was founded in 1999 and todate (12/1/08) we have rescued and adopted out over 1200 Basset Hounds. Many have been adopted to homes all over the US. At intake each is medically evaluated, treated and placed in a loving foster home. When an adoption application has been received a home visit is done and the potential adopters are talked with about the Basset Hound Breed. Once the adoption occurs transportation arrangements are made either out of state or in state. A followup call or email is done 30 days after the adoption.
