Mission Statement

The mission of The Dwelling Place is to provide safety and healing to individuals and families affected by the tragedy of domestic violence through safe housing, Christ-centered programming and community education.

Description

The Dwelling Place assists families in recovering stability, and helps prevent the continuance of abuse through education. We offer safe crisis shelter, food, clothing, spiritual support, advocacy, education in the areas of relationships and parenting, transitional housing, and referral to legal and governmental resources.

The Dwelling Place has ten years of experience offering safety and healing to victims of domestic violence. We are located in the inner city of St. Paul, yet have received clients from all over the United States and several foreign countries. Victims bring with them special circumstances, wherever they come from. We have learned that "customized" approaches are necessary for treatment to be relative and effective.
