Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
To enrich the lives of our Hospice patients and families through compassion, quality of care with integrity, by building a legacy of excellence. "Where Caring comes Home". We strive to maintain the highest level of excellent patient care for those individuals with life-limiting illnesses when cure is not an option. Legacy is one of the largest Hospices in the Treasure Valley. We serve patients from Glenns Ferry, Idaho west to Malheur County, Oregon and then North to Council. All areas in between, both rural and urban.
Legacy Hospice volunteers can enrich the lives of patients when a cure is not an option or the patient does not want to aggressively treat their life-limiting condition. Legacy Hospice volunteeers become friends with the hospice patient and/or their families. They spend one-on-one time with their assigned patient(s). Volunteers agree to commit to at least 1 hour a week of selfless service.
Legacy Hospice volunteers are a friend to talk to, someone to hold a hand, to share stories with the hospice patient, read, sing, or laugh with. Someone who wants to make a difference in the world, one person at a time.
Volunteers are not provide nursing or personal care services. They are a friend.
Volunteers must be able to pass a background check, drug test, have a negative TB test and agree to comply with Legacy Hospice policies and procedures pertaining to confidentiality, dress code and personal conduct code. There is no cost for background check, drug test or TB tests.
