Mission Statement
Since our establishment in 1990, MindFreedom International has been dedicated to challenging psychiatric human rights violations (e.g. forced drugging, forced electroshock therapy, forced institutionalization, etc.) while promoting safe, humane, and effective treatments in mental health care. We aim to lead a non-violent revolution of equality, truth, and human rights that unites psychiatric survivors through movements for justice everywhere.
Description
We are a non-profit under IRS 501(c)(3), and we are the only group of its kind accredited by the United Nations as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with Consultative Roster Status. Because we are financially independent from all pharmaceutical companies, governments, and religious organizations, we rely on the support of thousands of individuals like you to continue our activism.

As a psychiatric survivor who is well on his way to recovery after years researching and seeking alternative help to aid in my battle against severe mental illness and its consequences in my life, I have found a safe harbor here in MF, one where I experience truth and am led on the right path to healing. They don't leave me abandoned or simply put me through a system of lies and harm. I sincerely and wholeheartedly reccomend this organization to those seeking mental health services, both those starting out and those jaded by years in mainstream psychiatry.
