Mission Statement

Marine Resources Council (MRC) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose purpose is to maintain and enhance the quality of marine systems for the economic, recreational, aesthetic, and environmental use of the people of Florida. Our mission is to protect and restore the Indian River Lagoon coastal estuary and we are supported by many different community members and sponsors.

Description

MRC is multi-faceted organization committed to engaging the community in actions to save the Indian River Lagoon, working at all levels. We are holding government workshops, coordinating diverse stakeholder groups, showcasing community leaders, and working with businesses and individuals. We organize groups to plant mangroves, we conduct educational workshops, and we manage the Ted Moorhead Lagoon House, a lagoon-front venue for education and natural history.
