Description

Urban Light is not just a name. It is a movement dedicated to restoring, rebuilding, and empowering the lives of boys so often forgotten within the global dialogue of abuse, exploitation, and trafficking. We are one of the few organizations worldwide that works exclusively with males. The Urban Light Youth Center (ULYC) is located just a few blocks from Chiang Mai’s Red Light District. The center is a place where boys and young men can seek shelter and refuge from the many harsh realities that life on the street offers. Our Urban Light team works hard to empower our beneficiaries to lead healthy, happy, and safe lives by providing immediate assistance in education, health services, employment, housing, legal services, harm reduction, and emergency care. We also work diligently each week in our nightly outreach and prevention efforts.
