Brazosport Regional Volunteers

Description

Brazosport Regional volunteers augment the work of the trained personnel so that the employee may have more time for the more technical job for which he is trained. The volunteer broadens the services provided for the patient. This group unselfishly volunteers their time, talent and effort to make the patient's stay in the hospital more pleasant.

Some examples of volunteer help: working in the Gift Shop; greeting customers at the Main Information Desk; giving updates to patient's family in the surgery waiting areas; serving refreshments to patients and families; transporting patients to diagnostic services and helping customers in the ER waiting area.

Brazosport Regional volunteers also assist in many community projects such as Blood Drives, Flu Shot clinics, health fairs and hosting community education programs.
