The mission of the organization is to collect, preserve, and exhibit artifacts of regional culture and natural history; to maintain a hands-on discovery center revolving around all observed, real, and applied science; and to use its collections and exhibits to maintain an educational resource center.

Description

The Owensboro Museum of Science and History is a cutting edge educational center where imagination meets learning. We hold in public-trust a collection of over 35,000 artifacts, specimens, documents and photographs. Our educational programming encourages patrons to engage in meaningful community service and citizen science projects and to become self-directed life-long learners.
