Mission Statement

The mission of Eye of the Artists Foundation is to serve as a catalyst for exposure of the arts to underserved communities, with an emphasis on youth. Our vision is for artists to reach and empower the community through creativity.

Description

Eye of the Artists was established in 2001 in response to the growing need for connecting more arts programming, arts education and artists to underserved communities. The foundation was founded by visual artist/poet Annie Ruth and is recognized as a nonprofit public charity under section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Eye of the Artists exposes the community to fine art that promotes education, literacy, & creative expression. The foundation has a rich legacy of producing arts education curriculum, presenting young women’s conferences, providing artist’s residencies and providing permanent art collections and exhibits in community-based venues. Numerous permanent art collections have been installed around the globe. Since its inception Eye of the Artists has served over 200,000 youth, families, educators, and the community through its arts education programs, products and outreach.
