The mission of Helping Hands and Hearts Hospice is to offer a health care alternative providing the highest quality of care to our patients and families in their need.

Description

Helping Hands and Hearts Hospice provides quality patient care for just our Brazoria county residents. We feel strongly that what we do is a ministry not just a job. We have worked for other agencies that spread themselves too thin to be able to give the quick response to the calls for help; therefore we do not plan to add any counties to our service area. There are other very good non profit Hospices to care for the referrals that are closer to their staff. Brazoria County by itself is a large area to cover and to expect to provide the quality care to our residents that they deserve. We are very fortunate to have a world renowned Medical Center close enough to us so that we are able to access all of the latest treatments and studies available and only travel such a short distance. Hospice is our primary focus, yet our Mission includes caring for the community at large in the Circle of Life Program that we are all walking in - birth to death.. We not only provide Hospice services to our friends and neighbors in Brazoria County but we also lend a hand to our neighbors in need recovering from a loss of job, fire, divorce or any other loss situation. All of these areas deal in Grief therefore we offer our Grief support group, "Living for Tomorrow", for anyone in the community that would like to join. They meet weekly at 6PM Tuesday evening. Our Thrift Shop allows our neighbors to donate their gently used articles and their time volunteering, while at the same time giving our neighbors a helping hand in their purchasing power at an affordable price. The revenue is then used to provide the Hospice care for those who have no insurance. Helping Hands & Hearts Hospice is a Non-profit 501C3 Corp. The vision of Helping Hands and Hearts Hospice is to ensure the highest quality of life for the patients and families within our community .
