ACORN

Mission Statement

ACORN's mission is to continue to organize around the country wih the vision to work and build a base of low-income leaders. ACORN encourages their leaders to unite, take leadership on local and regional issues and win concrete improvements for themselves and their communities, while altering the balance of power by obtaining the attention of public officials and other decision-makers to support their position on issues such as on energy, health care, taxes, housing, community development, banking, jobs and income, and rural issues. The goal is to obtain the greatest amount of impact through a coordination of effort, a sharing of experiences and lessons learned.
