Mission Statement

The CTTF Auxiliary is a specialized auxiliary unit of the NYPD Auxiliary Police supporting the Traffic Operation Division of the New York City Police department. Our primary activities include traffic control during special events, safety education, and vehicle and bicycle patrols throughout the 5 boroughs of New York City.

Description

The Citywide Traffic Task Force (CTTF) Auxiliary is a volunteer unit part of the NYPD Auxiliary Police, the volunteer organization of the New York City Police Department. Auxiliary Police Officers are civic-minded men and women who volunteer to assist their community, by performing uniformed patrol duties. They are trained and equipped by the Police Department and come from many diverse backgrounds throughout the City.

As a member of the CTTF Auxiliary you will be part of a specialized auxiliary unit supporting the traffic operations division of the New York City Police department. Our primary activities include traffic control during special events, safety education, and vehicle and bicycle patrols throughout the 5 boroughs of New York City.

I was at a standard NYPD Precinct for 16 years. When I transferred to CTTF it was like night and day in comparison. CTTF is closer to my residence and is "The Finest Auxiliary Unit!" they, unlike other commands, are not bound to just one area (section) of Manhattan...We can be in Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx or as far as Staten Island. no other Auxiliary unit can do that. We are CTTF!
