BlackPast exists to weave the truths of the black American experience into the identity of every American in order to make our union more perfect and our society more just.

Description

BlackPast runs blackpast.org--an online educational tool that provides universal access to a rich base of original content and contextual primary materials related to African and African American history.Our content base of 4,000 orginial entries has been crowd sourced from over 600 volunteer contributors. All entries go through an academic editorial process before they are uploaded.
