Mission Statement

The Texas Ombudsman Program advocates for a high quality of life and high quality of care for all residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. This program is part of the Area Agency on Aging of the Brazos Valley under the Brazos Valley Council of Governments in Bryan, Tx.

Description

An ombudsman can help ensure that residents of long term care (nursing and assisted living facilities) get the care they want and are treated with the dignity they deserve. Ombudsmen support and promoted the health, safety and rights of residents. The program relies on dedicated Ombudsman volunteers who are certified to advocate on behalf of these residents.

Use your skills and talents to advocate for the rights of residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities by volunteering and joining the Texas Long Term Care Ombudsman Program.
