An ombudsman can help ensure that residents of long term care (nursing and assisted living facilities) get the care they want and are treated with the dignity they deserve. Ombudsmen support and promoted the health, safety and rights of residents. The program relies on dedicated Ombudsman volunteers who are certified to advocate on behalf of these residents.
