I emailed this organization and never heard back. The Valley Dogs' website says adoptions are held every Saturday at PetSmart at the Camelback Colonnade (South West corner of 20th St. & Camelback) from 10am to 3pm, and volunteers can just show up. We went to help on Saturday, Jan 18, but no one was there. We asked a Petsmart staff if they knew about the adoption event, and she said it was strange that Valley Dogs hadn't shown up. I called the organization to see if they were coming, and never received a call back. This group is unorganized, and doesn't value people who want to help them.

As an all volunteer organization every effort and dollar goes to benefit the dogs. As an all volunteer organization we do our best to balance our professional life with our passion for saving dogs. The bottom line is we are committed to our dogs. Valley Dogs is one of the few (if not the only) rescue organization that helps owners re-home their dogs. Many owners are very concerned about making the right decision. Is this the best place for my dog? We work with them and walk them through the process. If you would like to help, commit some time please come see us. If you have the capacity to do more and take on a foster please do. You will always be rewarded.

I adopted my dog Guss from Valley Dogs, and was so impressed with the wonderful care they gave him, I wanted to give back. This is the most rewarding volunteer work that I have been involved in. I have been a volunteer with Valley Dogs since 2007. From fostering to fundraising, Valley Dogs has many different volunteer opportunities. Our volunteers are dedicated, friendly, and most of all passionate about dogs!

It would be nice if this place would send an email saying kiss off or something. Haven't heard a word after submitting almost 2 weeks ago.
