Mission Statement

The mission of the Capistrano Unified Council of PTSAs in conjunction with the National PTA is.... To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children. To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children. To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

Description

The Capistrano Unified Council of Parent Teacher Student Associations (CUCPTSA) consists of 52 individual PTA unit associations - one at each of our schools - with over 27,000 members: parents, grandparents, teachers, principals, students (at our middle and high schools) and community members. We are the largest of the 20 Councils in 4th District PTA (think: all of Orange County ). Fourth District PTA is the largest (in membership) of the 29 districts that make up California PTA . And, not surprisingly, California has more PTA members than any other state. (So we are the biggest of the biggest of the biggest!)
