Mission Statement

The Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - St. Joseph Foundation supports the mission of St. Joseph by: promoting and strengthening the image, role, and identity of St. Joseph to others; generating resources for St. Joseph through focused cultivation and fundraising; and being responsible stewards of the Foundation assets. The Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare System is committed to living out the healing ministry of Jesus by providing exceptional and compassionate health care service that promotes the dignity and well-being of the people we serve.

Description

The Foundation advances Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare's mission by securing funds to sustain and enhance the exceptional health care services provided by St. Joseph, the second largest private hospital in Milwaukee, and by its ancillary facilities, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - Wauwatosa (formerly known as St. Joseph Outpatient Center); and Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - Glendale. The Foundation is particularly proud of its support of St. Joseph's specialties, such as care for women and families, including obstetrical and neonatal care, as well as cardiac, cancer, and rehabilitation services. The Foundation also helps sustain St. Joseph's charitable care program, which contributes over $8.6 million annually to the healthcare needs of low-income and other vulnerable patients.
