Supporting the development of young children and families
At Kids On The Move, our mission is simple: to support the healthy development of young children and families in Utah.
We empower families, one kid at a time, to lead more successful lives and to be less dependent on government assistance through four major service programs:
Early Head Start, Early Intervention, Respite Care and our Autism Center.
Our Early Head Start program focuses on low-income families facing significant challenges, such as teen or single parents. They also learn how to make nutritious meals and how to set and achieve goals for family self sufficiency.
The Early Intervention program enhances development and reduces the impact of disabilities and developmental delays for infants and toddlers. We provide services such as speech, physical and occupational therapy, family training, nursing and social work to children who suffer from developmental delays or medical conditions.
Respite Care at Kids On The Move is the temporary care of children with special needs, providing a short period of rest or relief to their usual caregivers. We provide Respite Care to families of children with special needs to give them a 3.5 hour break on weekend nights so that caregivers can relieve stress, renew energy, and restore balance.
We’ve expanded our Autism Center to prepare kids older than three with social skills and learning experiences needed to successfully enter the school system. We provide families with the quality services they need, not just the services they can afford.
