Since its inception, the council has grown to serve 16 counties in the greater Augusta area, including Aiken, Barnwell, Burke, Columbia, Edgefield, Emanuel, Glascock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McCormick, McDuffie, Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren and Wilkes.
