Description
Our organization, Kreider Services, Inc., is a not-for-profit agency that serves over 500 individuals with developmental disabilities.
We have residential facilities (group homes), a Day Services program , and a production program to teach job skills. We also provide individual supports for clients who are able to live on their own but who may need a little extra help. In addition, we provide Early Intervention Services for area children birth to three years old. Kreider Services is the Northwest Regional office for The Autism Program in the State of Illinois.
Our 26 residential facilities are home to over 150 adults with 24-hour staff to provide them with whatever level of support and services they need to function as independently as possible.
Our Day Service programs are held Monday through Friday from 8:30-3:30. Clients are evaluated and placed with other individuals of similar skill levels. Many clients are currently doing jobs for Ray-O-Vac batteries and Del Monte foods to mention just a few. We also have a growing Electronic, cardboard, plastics, and paper recycling program that many of our clients are involved in.
Clients in Kreider Services participate in Special Olympics at the local, state, and national level. We have a basketball team, bowling team, and track team. Our clients participate in many individual events as well.
