Mission Statement

As a program of the Chicago History Museum, we practice its mission to share Chicago's stories, serving as a hub of scholarship and learning, inspiration and civic engagement

Description

The Chicago Metro History Fair offers students in grades 6-12 the opportunity to "Make History" themselves by producing history projects on topics and questions that interest them. After conducting their own research to develop their own interpretation, students share their projects with public volunteer judges. Volunteers may view exhibits, websites, documentaries, performances, and papers. It is a rewarding experience for the adults and the students. Every judge counts because every student counts.
