To transform White Rock Hills into a safe, beautiful, prosperous and proud community by inspiring hope and working together to achieve a shared vision.
FRI is a grassroot organization dedicated to the complete restoration of the White Rock Hills community. Launched in 1998 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, FRI aggressively addresses crime, safety, business degeneration, urban blight and failing schools by building alliances with law enforcement and social service agencies to empower and strengthen our community.
And now FRI has launched its ambitious Economic Development strategy. We are nurturing a vision of an urban village, a place of safety and beauty where people want to live and raise their families. Our vision is to create a place in our city with a unique identity and character; a place with tree lined streets with sidewalks and bustling small retail and commerce. We want to create a stable community that is both ethnically and economically diverse with an engaged faith community dedicated to serving not only their congregation but the community in which they are located.
Participation is one key measure of FRI's success. You can support your community through personal contributions and/or by volunteering! Regardless of the methods you use to contribute, your participation regardless of the amount, provides a significant endorsement of your commitment to the mission and restoration strategy of the Ferguson Road Initiative. Your charitable contribution will help leverage funds from other sources that will ensure the maintenance and advancement of FRI's good work in neighborhood revitalization. More information about these options for helping is available by selecting the options at the top of this page. Please take the time to review each. We need you!
