Mission Statement

The Dauphin County Parks and Recreation Department contributes to the recreation and education of County resident and tourists through programs and parks. We are also involved in activities generally relating to conservation in the county.

Description

We are host to a diversity of natural, historic and cultural resources. The County's Parks and Recreation Department provides people of all ages the opportunity to learn about and enjoy our community. The Dauphin County Park system includes seven areas, the Community Gardens, Fort Hunter Park, Fort Hunter Conservancy, Henninger Bridge, Lykens Glen Park, Wiconisco Creek Park, and Wildwood Park. At this point, volunteer opportunities are focused primarily at Fort Hunter Park and Wildwood Park.
