Mission Statement

Conserving the beauty, character, and diversity of significant lands in far northern California.

Description

Since 1998, Shasta Land Trust has led efforts to identify and conserve significant lands in the north state that provide local benefits such as open space, wildlife habitat, scenic views, recreation, and working agricultural lands.

As a nationally accredited land trust that is led by local volunteers and exclusively focused on land and natural resources in northern California, Shasta Land Trust is uniquely suited to advance conservation successes in this area. Much of our work in years past has resulted in conservation easements on working ranchland in Shasta County, but we have also recently protected urban landscapes and natural areas. Shasta Land Trust currently holds conservation easements on over 23,000 acres of land in Shasta County.

Together we will build a legacy for future generations. Your support makes our collective success possible.
