Mission Statement

Mission Statement: The Spina Bifida Association of Massachusetts (sbaMass) is a nonprofit corporation founded in 1973 by a group of concerned parents of children with Spina Bifida. A member of the Spina Bifida Association, sbaMass is dedicated to promoting the prevention of Spina Bifida and to enhancing the lives of all affected. The sbaMass provides a community of support, advocacy and education for individuals with Spina Bifida, their families and caregivers.

Description

The Spina Bifida Association of Massachusetts (sbaMass) is a non-profit founded in 1971 by a group of concerned parents of children with Spina Bifida. The sbaMass provides educational and social events, financial benefits, awareness programs, a quarterly newsletter,SBA conference scholarships, online discussion groups and fundraising.

The sbaMass serves any person with Spina Bifida, their family and caregivers who reside in Massachusetts or a New England state that does not have its own SBA affilated entity. The sbaMass does not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, color, national origin, gender identity, disability, medical condition, marital or veterans status or other characteristics prohibited by law.
