Mission Statement

Ten Thousand Villages provides vital, fair income for Third World people by marketing their handicrafts and telling their stories in North America.

Ten Thousand Villages Goshen is one of a network of stores across the United States that provide a fair trade marketplace for artisans in developing regions around the world. By marketing artisan handicrafts and telling their stories, we generate sales to provide income for artisans which they can use for basic needs such as food, education, health care, and housing. We use volunteers as store clerks, board members, and to perform other tasks to support our store, so we can keep our costs down and maximize the amount available for artisans.
