Mission Statement

To ensure every companion animal has access to quality medical care, compassionate shelter, and a loving home. We envision a world in which the love people share with animals uplifts humanity to a state of greater compassion.

Description

Since 1868, the San Francisco SPCA has been helping animals.

Today, we continue transforming how pet guardians and their furry friends access lifesaving care through our world-class veterinary hospital, adoption center, and community medicine programs.

Our strategic plan, Vision 2030, builds on our groundbreaking work to provide access to care for animals in San Francisco, the Central Valley, and throughout the state of California. Our goal is to positively impact the lives of eight million animals by 2030.

we adopted river, a young mama dog who was rescued by Fresno Animal Control. she was transported to San Francisco SPCA with hopes for her adoption. zenny (aka river) is heaven-sent to our family. adoption process at sfspca was professsional and thorough and kind. she adds another beautiful spirit (Zen) to our home.
