Each year Florida Blood Services saves or enhances the lives of more than 100,000 people just in the Tampa Bay area alone. These are our friends, family and neighbors and at any moment, it could be one of us too!

The financial needs are many and constantly change. We fund the purchase of many critical items; bloodbmobiles from which more than 80% of our blood is collected; transport vehicles and courier vehicles to pick up and deliver blood to area hospitals and healthcare facilities; state-of-the-art research and testing equipment to ensure the continued safety of the region's blood supply; education of the next generation of blood donors in our high schools, middle schools and even elementary schools; and funding of testing for potential marrow donors who selflessly choose to join the National Marrow Donor Registry.
