Mission Statement

The mission of the Discovery Center of the Southern Tier is to contribute to
the development of the intellectual, physical, and emotional well being of
the children of our regional community. Our exhibits and programs engage
the senses, challenge the mind, ignite the imaginations and offer a diverse
framework for discovery in the arts, sciences and humanities.

Description

The Discovery Center is a hands-on children's museum serving the Southern
Tier if New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our remarkable 22,500
square foot space was created for, with and by children. Our unique,
interactive environment encourages children to make choices and acquaint
themselves with who they are and who they might want to be. In addition to
our interactive exhibits, we offer family workshops, summer artsploration
camps, early education programs, scout programming and special art, science
and history workshops
