Mission Statement

Alaska Animal Advocates is a non profit group dedicated to enriching the lives of companion animals in Alaska. In order to do this, we will place homeless pets in loving environments, address medical concerns, spay or neuter, and offer training as is needed. Our food bank will provide food to pets whose families are in crisis. We believe that every animal deserves a loving home for his/her entire life, and AAA will provide the resources to make this happen.

Description

Alaska Animal Advocates is a Matsu Valley based animal rescue group. We rescue dogs throughout the state of Alaska and place them in foster homes until they adopted into their forever homes. Each dog is spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated and dewormed. We are comprised entirely of volunteers, who we see as the lifeblood of our organization. We have many opportunities for volunteers, such as:

  • Fostering
  • Conducting home visits
  • Helping at adoption clinics
  • Transporting dogs, food, supplies, etc.
  • Coordinating volunteers
  • Website & FB maintenance
  • Special events
