Mission Statement

The Mission of New Image is to: decrease and prevent homelessness throughout Los Angeles County by providing comprehensive Case Management and Supportive Services, housing, job search and placement, outreach, and referral services.

Description

Who we are:

New Image is a California 501(c) (3) nonprofit corporation

What we do:

New Image provides temporary housing with meals and an array of supportive services to homeless and low-income, men, women, families with children, and persons with mental illnesses. Our mission is to decrease and prevent homelessness throughout Los Angeles County.

Why we do it:

At least 190,000 men, women and children experience homelessness in Los Angeles over the course of a year. Since 2013, homelessness in Los Angeles County has increased by 12% because of a high unemployment rate, lack of affordable housing, and the city’s budget reduction for homeless services.

Where we are going:

New Image is addressing the increased need of homeless services by providing programs that not only places individuals and families with children experiencing homelessness in housing, but prepares them to maintain their housing, by ensuring that they receive the appropriate mental health care, substance abuse treatment, mainstream entitlements, and life skills training, to ensure future income, which will allow them to be productive citizens of our society.
