Mission Statement

MABBR was created by a group of bully breed enthusiasts to save these delightful but often misunderstood dogs. Not only does MABBR rescue and find homes for homeless bull breeds such as American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, American Bulldogs, Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Bull Mastiffs, mixed breeds, and other Mollasser-type dogs, MABBR also focuses on education, outreach, and assisting cities with drafting safer and more effective breed-neutral dangerous dog laws.

Description

MABBR was formed to assist dogs that are on "death row" in Midwest shelters. We have no facility and are a foster home network of volunteers. We are helping the dogs that are out of time and have NO options. We can't do this on our own. Every dog in our care is completely dependant on donations and sponsorship from outside sources.

All the dogs on our pages escaped euthanasia because of the help of generous donors and foster homes. Due to all of the obstacles these dogs face, it takes an average of six months to place a pit bull in a responsible home. To keep them safe for this long, we must have the help of others that share our love for these dogs.

If you are unable to adopt or foster a needy dog, Please consider sponsoring or donating to help keep these dogs until they can find the home they deserve.
