Mission Statement

Thunder invites members who display talent, enthusiasm and commitment. Students age 14 through age 21 are eligible to audition. (If a member's turns 22 on or after June 1, they are eligible for this season.) The majority of our members are from the Spokane area but we have members from all across the state as well as California, Oregon, Idaho and beyond. A student’s talent and skills are given primary consideration in the process, but we consider attitude, communication, responsibility, parent support, as well as growth and improvement. Members receive instruction in music, technique, marching and movement, as well as leadership training, from skilled educators. Members prepare a drum corps show and perform it a minimum of seven times, in five states and experience performances from renowned world class drum and bugle corps as well as other open class corps all while making lifetime friendships.
