Sponsorship Outreach (Volunteer Position) Job Title: Sponsorship Outreach Manager Art In Motion, Inc. Art In Motion, our mission is to promote art and creativity in our San Pedro community. We aim to provide a platform for emerging artists and offer opportunities for everyone to experience and appreciate the arts. Radio KCLA and the San Pedro Film Festival are projects of Art in Motion, Inc. a California 501(c) 3 non profit. RADIO KCLA-LPFM Community Radio 100.7 FM KCLA's on-air programming aims to cover San Pedro's vibrant music, culture, and arts scene and strives for excellence in both content and delivery. KCLA is a non-profit, low-power radio station based in San Pedro. KCLA is community-based, taking donated music and putting it up for broadcasting and streaming The San Pedro International Film Festival’s mission is two-fold: - To help promote and develop the exhibition of media arts to audiences in and around San Pedro by presenting a forum for film festival professionals and filmmakers; - To make the international community aware of San Pedro as both a film festival forum and event destination, film production destination, and to promote the works of international and local filmmakers to an international and domestic audience. With the objective of supporting the development of local filmmakers and actors, as well as enriching local audiences, SPIFF will offer a series of workshops, panel discussions and presentations. The San Pedro International Film Festival will endeavor to collaborate with other festivals and film organizations and encourage education of new technological advancements that make filmmaking accessible to everyone.SPIFF will aim to encourage young people to enjoy films as well as develop their interest in filmmaking careers. SPIFF will organize "youth in film" workshops to further encourage and educate young people interested in film, with potential grants and loans of digital equipment. Job Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Sponsorship Outreach Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying potential sponsors, reaching out to them, and fostering long-term partnerships. This role involves managing outreach strategies, pitching sponsorship opportunities, and ensuring that sponsor objectives align with our organization’s goals. Key Responsibilities: Outreach and Relationship Building: Identify and engage potential sponsors for events, programs, and initiatives. Build and maintain relationships with sponsors to ensure long-term partnerships. Develop Sponsorship Proposals: Create tailored sponsorship packages and proposals that align with the interests of prospective sponsors. Highlight the benefits and value of partnership opportunities. Lead Sponsorship Negotiations: Handle all aspects of sponsorship negotiations, from initial outreach to closing deals. Ensure terms and expectations are clearly defined. Manage Sponsor Activations: Oversee the execution of sponsor agreements, ensuring sponsors receive the agreed-upon benefits. Maintain communication throughout the partnership to foster strong relationships. Event Support: Collaborate with the events team to integrate sponsor branding and activation opportunities seamlessly into events. Reporting: Track and report on sponsorship performance, including ROI for sponsors. Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on outreach progress and outcomes. Market Research: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor sponsorship strategies to identify new opportunities for growth and improvement. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in sponsorship sales, outreach, or partnership management. Experience in events, marketing, or public relations is a plus. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling presentations and proposals. Negotiation: Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with a focus on win-win outcomes. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple sponsorship deals and relationships simultaneously, with attention to detail and deadlines. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools, and other related software. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in event management or working with large-scale sponsorships and small. Knowledge of sponsorship activation strategies, especially in the context of experiential marketing. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment: Flexible work hours, depending on the events and outreach schedule. Can be remote. Experience in contract management and understanding of legal frameworks around underwriting.
