Each year, Fedcap offers an array of services through its four practice areas Education, Workforce Development, Occupational Health, and Economic Development--helping more than 80,000 individuals graduate from high school, obtain vocational certification or a college degree, become work ready, obtain meaningful employment and achieve economic well-being.
Description
Since 1935, Fedcap has been a pioneer in improving the lives of people with barriers through
innovative approaches to education, workforce development, occupational health, and economic
development. Today, we remain fiercely committed to our mission, to creating relevant, sustainable
impact, and to improving the lives of those we serve.
As the sole provider of New York City’s WeCARE program, we serve 50,000 people annually with
medical and/or mental health barriers. People who had never before believed it was possible are
now moving into the workforce.
We expanded PrepNow!(tm) to Los Angeles through a generous grant from the Conrad Hilton
Foundation. PrepNOW!(tm) is Fedcap’s one-of-a-kind national solution to creating a collegegoing
culture in foster homes, boosting college entry and graduation rates for the 26,000 youth
transitioning from care each year.
