Description

This organization is the product of the hard work and dedication of a group of individuals united by our love for animals and the belief that we can and should do something to improve their treatment in the world. In Southern California, countless dogs, cats and other animals end up in shelters or out on the streets daily. They are abandoned or discarded for any number of reasons, but the volunteers of A Pawsitive Approach (and we are ALL volunteers) believe that this can and must change!

This was a pretty cool volunteer work opportunity. Although the only thing that made it a bit challenging for me was when I would take the kitties out for play time from their cubbies (their lil hotel rooms or their cells I sometimes call them lol) & carry em a few feet away into a separate lil room to start their social/play time. So everytime someone opens the 1 & only door to this separate room, there's a potential chance one or more of the kitties might escape! One actually did while I was volunteering there & she was running loose in the petco until one of us finally caught her before she got outside! She was so scared! :( That was the biggest problem I had volunteering here & why I eventually stopped giving my time to help with this organization. I have a serious heart condition, so for me, unfortunately this wasn't one of my fave places to give my time to mostly cuz it was too physically exhausting for me even when the kitties didn't try to break free! Lol.
