Mission Statement

Tune In to Nature.org is the non-profit organization that produces the BirdNote radio series. BirdNote educates and inspires people to care about the future of the natural world. We do this by producing and distributing remarkable stories about the lives of birds.

Description

BirdNote is not your typical nature show. The series combines entertainment with education with hope, to transport listeners out of the daily grind and into nature. People are hungry for the stories BirdNote tells: ninety-one percent give it very high ratings.

The show is currently heard by some 230,000 regular listeners and has been on the air since February 2005. More than 700 shows have been created and broadcast. BirdNote airs on news, talk, jazz and classical stations, mostly NPR-affiliates, in Washington, Alaska, Texas, California, Michigan, upstate New York, and Connecticut.

BirdNote is twenty-five percent of the way toward our goal of one million listeners in the four USA flyways.
