Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Each student develops the highest habits of scholarship and achieves his/her greatest potential in a positive, can-do, goal-oriented, nurturing and secure atmosphere.
NRCCS draws its direction and strength from Expeditionary Learning. Our curriculum is designed around rigorous, purposeful, project-based learning expeditions tied to Colorado State Standards and complemented by enrichment classes and mini-expeditions tied to standards not satisfied by the standard expeditions
We describe school/student success by three measures, which include:
Academics (content, standards),
Character (character traits, habits of a learner, and civic engagement), and
High Quality Product (portfolios, projects).
Six "Character Traits" are an integral part of our culture. We want students to be thoughtful people and prepared to be a leader in any environment. These six Traits are: Respect, Integrity, Courage, Compassion, Curiosity and Creativity. Also important are the four "Habits of Scholarship" that enable our students to be lifelong learners. The four Habits: Grit, Craftsmanship, Responsibility and Collaboration.
