Mission Statement

ReRun's mission is to help ex-racehorses find a second career through rehabilitation and training, and place them in loving, permanent homes.

Description

ReRun is a 501(c)(3) ex-racehorse adoption program with chapters in New Jersey, and New York, and Kentucky. We take Thoroughbreds straight off the mid-Atlantic/east coast race tracks and board them at our foster farms located in NY, NJ, and KY. At the farms, the horses are provided with the time and care needed to rehabilitate from injuries and/or health conditions (if any), them they are re-schooled for other forms of equitation and adopted out to only qualified homes.

ReRun pioneered the concept that when Thoroughbreds' racing days are over, they don't need to go to auction or slaughter, but can go on to lead productive lives as jumpers, hunters, even barrel racers! Since our inception, we have placed over 500 ex-racehorses into permanent adoptive homes where both horse and human enjoy a lifetime of companionship.
