Mission Statement

A nationwide organization to educate the public regarding (1) special health and behaviorial needs of the Miniature Pinscher; (2) the suffering and abuse engendered by commercial and indiscriminate breed, including the wholesale destruction in public and private shelters of excess dogs, including purebred dogs, and Miniature Pinschers; (3) behaviorial and health management advances which will (a) improve, health, longevity, and conduct, and (b) reduce loss, surrender, and abandonment of Miniature Pinschers.

To take custody of stray, abandoned, abused, relinquished, impounded and/or otherwise "at risk" Miniature Pinscher dogs.

To provide and arrange for short and long-term foster care, health and temperament screening, nurturing, health care, rehabilitation, sterilization, and permanent placement as appropriate.

To take custody of animals whose owners have died and animals who are at risk of being displaced by reason of their owner's death or incapacity, and, when the means is available to Miniature Pinscher Rescue, to maintain these animals in the location and manner in which they lived when in the previous owner's possession for the duration of the life of the animal(s).

To prevent cruelty by all lawful means.

Miniature Pinscher Rescue is a breed rescue organization and is also a society organized for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
