Mission Statement

The mission of the Wenham Museum is to protect, preserve and interpret the artifacts of childhood, domestic life, and the history and culture of Boston’s North Shore. To respectfully show how each socio-economic, ethnic and immigrant group has lived, learned, played and worked to make the North Shore the rich, vibrant region it is.

Description

In our 17th century house, 2 floors of interactive exhibits, a library and a function hall, we interpret collections include the toys, dolls, clothing, household items, tools and equipment that people have used since pre-colonial times. We endeavor to welcome young children, families, school groups, social agencies and people of all physical and cognitive abilities to explore our exhibits, activities and events. We are a small staff, big mission museum with a full 6 day week, year round schedule.
